SMARTSCOPE
THOR-SMARTSCOPE
The SmartScope is the latest market leading product developed by Thor Technologies, producing 30 times greater accuracy in results compared to similar devices. This latest innovation helps users identify noisy power and shows how much of an effect applying a power filter will have on the circuit. When plugged into a power outlet, it calibrates a sample of the electrical power from the outlet and measures any unwanted electrical noise. If a filtered power board is connected to the sample, it’ll show how effective the power filter is in removing this unwanted noise. The results are displayed as a percentage of the noise removed.

Simple and intuitive to use
The SmartScope has a single display on the front of the device and includes a set of instructions to ensure you can easily calibrate & use the device. Simply plug the device into an unfiltered power outlet for calibration purposes, unplug the unit and plug it into the powerboard you’d like to test within 30 seconds. Result will be displayed shortly after.
In-built power noise scale
With SmartScope, take in the level of power noise at a glance with an intuitive and easily-interpretable scale ranging from “Minimal Noise” to “Extremely Noisy”.
Readable instructions on the front of the SmartScope device
If in doubt, read through the instructions on the top of this device for a step-by-step guide on how to calibrate, re-calibrate, and ensure you receive accurate results.
How Does It Work
Simply plug the Smartscope directly into an unfiltered power outlet. The unit will automatically read the noise level and give you an idea of how bad your power is without filtering.
Once the Smartscope has calibrated, unplug the unit and then plug it into the power board to test within 30 seconds to take a new reading.
The Smartscope will then compare the new reading to the unfiltered reading and tell you the percentage improvement the board has made.
To test another power board without recalibrating, simply unplug the unit from the first power board and plug into a second power board within 30 seconds. To clear the calibration of the unit, let it sit for 1 minute unpowered.
Please note that readings may vary from outlet to outlet depending on time
of day and internal wiring of the circuit.
